Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies App Reviews

I hate the new update. My spouse hasnt watched it because he hates the update. Its not easy to scroll through. Its pretty but isnt functional. Perhaps unsubscribing.

I have no idea who designed the latest interface but they obviously dont live in the real world. The iPhone/iPad version is barely workable at best and confusing at worst. The AppleTV version is all but unusable. Hard to navigate. The font colors are so close to the background color that it is all but unreliable from across the room. Add to that the totally confusing navigation and it is enough to make me want to cancel my subscription.

The new interface update is horrible!! Its unusable and completely pointless to try. None of my shows are easy to find. And the recommended list is everything I dont want to watch. Find a better interface quickly or Ill have to cancel my subscription.

Please, please, please go back to the old version. The current iPhone version is great. I stopped watching on my TV because the layout is awful, colors are harsh (lime green and yellow?!?) I cant find anything, I have to search high and low for episode descriptions....please listen to what everyone is saying!! Quickly!!

The new app for Apple TV is really bad. Not sure what they were thinking. Being very difficult to navigate makes it dysfunctional.

The new design is pretty, but not user-friendly or functional. Too many menus, not a great navigation system between parent and child menus for Apple TV, etc. Shows that have both dub and sub versions are dumped together, so you have to scroll through a long list and it makes for a wonky auto play feature. Im watching subbed, next episode is the dubbed version. A little frustrating

How did anyone approve this? This is so poorly designed I dont even know what to say. Who ever designed this should be ashamed. This awful app and the lack of content on Hulu is pushing me to the end. Im done. Back to Netflix or HBO I go.

I use this app to cast to my TV because both the playstation3 and playstation4 app consistently crash and dont work. This app isnt much better. I have to consistently open and close the app to get the cast button to work, it constantly disconnects or restarts my episodes, and the select episode page just gets worse and worse with every update. Now I cant even select what episodes I want, Im just at the mercy of whatever the app wants to play on its own. Whenever I call customer service, Im met with, "Its your fault, no Hulus." Ive done everything possible to remedy the situation, and when nothing works, its obviously my fault, not a faulty app or poor customer service. Yeah, sure. Just about ready to end my subscription and stick with Netflix. The customer abuse isnt worth the money.

I love Hulu and even intended on adding the new Live TV. Then the new app came out and I plan to cancel altogether. Its VERY hard to read and navigate. Also, "my list" doesnt show videos Ive saved or any of the new shows Ive added to favorites. Its just plain awful!

Freezes, crashes, or wont even open. When it does open, the interface is horrible! Cant find my movies. Cant search for programs. Why would Hulu even bother with an app that is this bad!

I would not recommend Hulu to anyone. The app is slow, glitchy, and never casts even though I have all wifi bars. I know its this app because my other casting apps, such as Netflix and FX work perfectly.

Hard to believe this latest update made it out. The Apple TV app is impossible to use. Few images. All text. This POS puts you through exactly the same setup. Even though it knows youre the same person. Hulu just destroyed one of the most successful streaming TV services.

Will not work on my computer,only works on my iPad. Since I pay for no commercials (another annoyance of hulu), I feel I should be able to use it on any device, anywhere, but it will only lag on my computer.(Nothing else does - not Netflix, the far better choice!!) Theres no next episode, the list of episodes dont have captions,like with Netflix. Its a fairly complicated interface for the kind of app it is. And clearly hulu just doesnt care to fix these issues, as I see very low ratings here for the same reasons Im citing, but no changes are being made. Get with the ball, hulu.

If it worked it would be great. I have so many shows I want to watch on here, but the app on my phone and on my tv are sketchy at best. I dont have that problem with any of my other subscription services, so its very disappointing that this one isnt better.

The new interface appears to be designed to force you to watch what they think you should be watching. The whole reason I ditched cable was so that I could more easily keep track of ONLY the shows I want to watch. The old interface made it easy to see what shows had new episodes and how many there were. The new interface buries that information. I find myself relying on the Apple TV app to track my shows and avoid the Hulu interface as much as possible. They need to completely rethink their approach.

I like the app but only getting 3 stars because I watch shows and been waiting along time for some to update like deadliest catch

Besides the new horrible format/layout, nothing will play on my Apple TV. Only option is to play on iPod and then air play to Apple TV. Did they beta test this new version at all? Worst update ever for Hulu

The interface borders on unusable. It is so hard to find shows that we already watch. Please change it back. Regarding the developer response: You should not have to read instructions on how to use an app like Hulu. I never have needed directions for Netflix.

My hulu does not work suddenly. It works on my other iPad, with iOS 10.2, but the new one with iOS 10.3.1 it wont login. Keeps telling me incorrect password, even though I logged in 5 min earlier on other device. Not cool hulu, not cool.

Adding something to my watchlist on the app failed to update the watchlist on AppleTV...cross platform experience needs work.
