Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies App Reviews

I think the Hulu app development team looked at Windows 10, and asked themselves how can we make that but worse? Well the new Hulu app is the answer. Its cluttered, its cumbersome, hard to navigate, more difficult to find new content than before, and after the multiple direction clicking process to scroll through episodes of a show you better hope you dont click over which backs you out of the whole tedious process. Its just terrible, and in the words of our orange leader, sad!

It has no superhero anything really. I got this to watch the old superhero movies and shows like the flash and arrow but they dont have it. I want to watch stuff thats not on abc?.

Please fix the horrible User Interface which was forced upon us. It is so bad I just might get rid of HULU. Yeah. That bad. At least offer an option for customers to go back to the old user interface instead of the one were having to deal with now. I will give you a 5 when something is done.

This app is pretty bad with chrome cast and speed in general. Needs a lot of work.

Just logged into Hulu and apparently they updated it and now its impossible to navigate. Its like they copied the crap Apple Music platform, so if you dont spend the 300 hours picking shows and movies you like youll never find what you want.

The fact that I cant watch tv shows or movies while another person is watching something is just stupid and a waste you gotta allow to be used atleast multiple devices

They totally missed the mark on their new interface and lost their competitive edge. Would do anything to bring back the old Hulu. Words cant even describe what a downgrade the new text-based interface is. Thank goodness for the Apple TV app (which is okay, but not good nor great), or I would be completely screwed. I had signed up for the beta on day one but was never accepted; too bad, because it looks like my feedback was sorely needed! Glad to see I am not alone.

The new version for Apple TV is a horrid mess to navigate. Totally unintuitive. Its difficult to find the shows Ive actually added to my list. A terrible human factors engineering failure.

So I am an Anime fan, and I really love watching the Anime shows. But can you tell me why you havent added season 2 of Seraph of the End? Is it because funimation doesnt want you to? I really hope you add it!

Always crashes and I cant watch anything.

The most current update constantly gives an HDCP error which doesnt allow me to watch anything. Whats the point of paying for something you cannot use?

Design is not functional. And there is no way to turn off autoplay. Would love to know how Hulu made the decision to create this New Coke.

The new gui is overly complicated. You have to go through layer after layer to find episodes, if you can find the show you want to watch.

Seems like Hulu dosent fully test apps before rolling them out. Have the commercial free subscribtion and it crashes abc episodes after informing that the episode has commercials before and after episode. Doesnt even deserve 1 star

I used to absolutely love Hulu but since the recent update I HATE the app so much and here are the reasons. 1. The interface is terrible. You have to scroll to entirely too many places just to get to something simple unlike how everything used to be simple and right there on the front screen. 2. The watch list has changed to something called my stuff. The problem with this is that my stuff is just a giant list of things that you say you might like. This includes things I like but may or may not have new episodes. Yes I like this show but I dont want it at the top of my list unless there are new episodes for me to watch. This takes me to my 3rd complaint. 3. The watch list used to show new episodes and label them as such. It pushed the new episodes of my watch list to the front making it easy to find. Now with the new version, it shows nothing about an episode being new. I have literally had to make a spreadsheet on my computer of everything that is currently airing and on what day then search through the Hulu app to see if a new episode aired that week which is a huge pain and extremely time consuming. 4. While this is a small complaint its still a problem. The colors of the new app are terrible and make it difficult to see anything. This is especially a problem due to all the insane amount of navigating you have to do to get anywhere in the app. I wrote this review in the hope that Hulu may actually do something about these problems because I know Im not the one person who feels this way. As I said before I have always loved Hulu but at this point I think it might be worth paying a $100 cable subscription again just to avoid using the new Hulu app.

I dont like the interface and now attack on Titan season 2 is missing and people with the old version of Hulu says its working fine for them.

The new app for Apple TV is terrible. Im not sure how they tested this on a focus group but being able to find what you want to watch should be easy. At this point I dont want to use Hulu at all anymore. Its too frustrating.

I give this app four stars because its amazing but i hate all the commercials.

As of now, Hulu has not applied the new update to the iPhone, but the update to Apple TV and PS4 is not user friendly at all. If they continue to apply this change to other devices (I havent checked the Roku yet), I will quit Hulu until they fix it, or possibly forever; there are other places to find SNL and other shows.

I use the app on Apple TV and the new upgrade is terrible. It takes forever to get to the content you want.
