Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies App Reviews

Thanks to Hulus new interface for Apple Tv I will be moving on to Directv or something SIMPLE! I have been with Hulu for six years. Never had a complaint. What in the heck were you guys thinking? You clearly had to have seen this is complicated and confusing? Design team needs to go back to making myspace pages and Hulu needs to steal Netflix employees.

It used to be easy to resume what you were watching and navigate the menus. Now I have to go to the A-Z list and scroll to find things. They only use a tiny amount of the screen to list shows. The other frustration is if you move the cursor over to the profile thing it forces you to pick a profile.

PLEASE change Apple TV app back to the way it was! The new update is absolutely HORRIBLE!! ????

This last update is nice looking but I liked the fact that I could previously see if shows on "My List" had new episodes and how many unseen episodes I still had. New version is extremely hard to navigate with the Apple TV remote and show listings are basically one at a time now. There is also no clear listing for shows that you would have previously bookmarked. So now we are learning to skip using Hulu to navigate shows and just use our main guide on the Apple TV. So I wish the app had not automatically updated and wish I could roll back the update...

What happens when you try to think too far out of the box and go all in on design while forgetting function? You end up with hulus new TV interface, thats what happens. Its pretty, sure...but its hard to find shows, everything seems to take more clicks and navigation in multiple directions, and it seems like its no longer possible to turn off autoplay. I was never a big fan of the old app experience—it seemed like the least sophisticated of the major services. But this is worse. They went too far. They need to go back to the drawing board on this and create something that people will understand.

The new update is horrible. Theyve taken a straight forward easy to use interface and turned it into a convoluted, unusable mess. All I want is to know when a show I watch has a new episode available, whats so hard about that. Im sorry but all this other crap is not going to make me watch The Mindy Project. Also the annoying Autoplay mode can no longer be turned off.

Before this update, I would log into Hulu and think- wow theres a lot on here!! Now I think- they must not have much to offer... why else would they put such a small amount of information at users fingertips at any one time? If Im looking for new content, I have to scroll endlessly- seeing only a couple movie thumbnails with each scroll. Thats fine if you only offer 20 movies. Unless... wait- Maybe you do only offer 20 movies now. I wont know, I couldnt take all the scrolling and gave up quickly. Hoping Hulu gives us an option to go back to the classic interface sooner then later.

Is not very user friendly and is hard to navigate. Please change back to an easier format to navigate. I find myself trying to find something to watch and I just going to another streaming app....

Ok sooo the title is a little crazy but I loveee this app. I can find a WHOLE lot of my shows that I like to watch!! I TOTALLY recommend this app????????❤️?

Ive been an paying member (ad-free) for quite some time, and free user for much longer. Hulu has seriously earned their low app ratings, from poor interface to buggy playback (audio cutting out and not coming back till you remove the app from memory and start over). This update? It takes the cake. 99% of my Hulu usage needs a simple queue that I control: let me watch new episodes in the order I want. That is it. Every major update in the past year or two has made that more difficult. But now? New episodes dont even show up, and its pushing first seasons on shows Im currently in season 3 or 4 of (just waiting for the new episodes to come out, except now the app doesnt even let me see that either). The queue...wait no, favourites... wait no, watchlist...wait no, my stuff?! Or is it the keep watching list? Hard to tell, because everything is messed up, and new episodes...its not usuable. On top of that, the remaining 1% of my Hulu usage involved browsing...which we cant do anymore because shows are only shown one at a time. Thats not browsing. Thats a massive waste of time. Roll back 2-3 years (back when there was a semi-usable queue), then fix the bugs youre pracitcally famous for: audio cutting out and not coming back till removing the app from memory and starting over. Please.

cant find half my shows. Cant read half the words because Hulu must think people sit right up against the tv.

The recent update this week has made the Apple TV Hulu app unusable. The former interface was much more user-friendly with shows easy to find and watch. Now shows on my watchlist are difficult to get to and I have no alerts when there is a new episode like the old badges. And now there is no way to disable the auto-play feature. When a show is over, HULU automatically starts playing a new show that isnt even on my watchlist. Bad job, HULU. Very bad job.

I loved Hulu before this update. It is truly so confusing. I have no idea where all my shows went and where all these new shows that I dont watch are appearing. When I finally find a series that I have been actively watching, I cant tell if it is a new episode or not. And the endless scrolling to find what I need is awful. They need to go back to multiple shows on one page and have the "new" icon back.

Seriously? How can Hulu developers let this out of beta? Basic stuff like font size unreadable. This is the first time I have ever cringed at this service.

Quite possibly the worst User Experience Ive ever seen. What used to take me seconds to dive into my favorite show is now shrouded into obscurity and far from intuitive. I spent the better part of the last hour trying to rebuild my entire profile since Hulu didnt import anything from my account for me. Horrible. Actually horrible!

Why?

The latest color scheme and menu is a poor user experience. The neon colors along with the floating menu transition provided me with a bad headache. The layout is confusing and too busy with all of the options. Please revert back to the old version which was simple, elegant and easy to use. #AppDesignRookies

wayyyyyyy too many changes too fast. What was wrong with the familiar interface but add features! we are apple people come on lol we dont like abrupt changes like that

Im not sure who they designed this new interface for, but it certainly wasnt for people who like to watch tv.

Hulu you should add Sofia the First on your app and Micky Mouse. I switched to Netflix to Hulu for more kid shows.
