Wayyyyy to many ads

Ok Theres a certain level of ads. For YouTube theres a skip button or its like 30secs but we dont have to pay for YouTube but for hulu we do and we get WAYYYYYY TO MANY ADS AND NO SKIP BUTTON i know I have to pay to get the none ads version but I aint gonna spend 3$ more!! But.... theres more shows and movies and its wayyy better than Netflix so I guess I like it?

Useless if you want to cast

The app disconnects from my chromecast every 10-15 minutes. Ive searched for solutions and this has been a known problem since 2015 and there is still not a fix. It forces me to reboot both the app and chromecast every time. I want to say I love it but it makes me want to throw something. I know its not the chromecast device because every other app works just fine with it.

Not user friendly

It takes a lot of work to find categories, search the next episode of a series you just watched, and commercials arent worth paying for. I got a free trial, and I wont be back. Its not worth $7.99. Ill stick w Netflix.

Huge issues recently

Issue persists on all platforms. Shows no longer show if youve watched them or not (that little green progress bar at the bottom). Also, if you dont finish a show and go back to "resume" it, the show starts from the beginning. Plz fix asap.

Ads

I understand, but hate the ads. For this reason Ill always prefer Netflix, HBOgo/ Amazon Prime. Although I understand how ads fit into their business model the execution is abysmal. If youre going to make the customer suffer through them, at least make it as painless as possible.

Terrible compatibility between iPhone and cromecast

I use Chromecast to cast to the TV. Half the time the cast icon doesnt show up. You have to close the app a couple times to get it to work. Dont ever try to pause your show, it will probably lose your place or disconnect from Chromecast. Hulu cant get the basics to work. These functions should be first and foremost, not redesigning the user interface. The new interface is stupid.

Such a pain

It works well, sometimes. However if you touch the screen accidentally and move the show forwards or backwards, you have to sit through a bunch of commercials before you can fix it. And it only takes a light touch to move it. So frustrating.

Desperately needs an update

When youre actually able to watch a show all the way through, Hulu is excellent! But, I can no longer watch anything without it keep stopping on me. Its so frustrating.

Hulu OK

If I had to chose between Netflix or Hulu, Ill probably choose Hulu because they have a better line-up than Netflix. New shows and movies whereas Netflix is so throwback and I cant never find anything to watch on there. Hulu is also cheaper than Netflix ?

Biased garbage

User interface is terrible. Recommended and breaking sections show left wing garbage. Made it through 1 day of a seven day trial. Keep pissing off half of your viewers, smart business move. Fingers crossed Commiefornia secedes. MAGA.

New design

The new design is not as user friendly as before. I dont know how the CEO approved this.

This new GUI is the WORST

I used to love Hulu. The interface was clear, user friendly, auto play worked correctly and it was easy to find programs and movies. Since the interface "update", the colors are too bright, the text is almost impossible to read as its the same color as the background, its hard to find anything and now the auto play doesnt function. It stops at the end of an episode instead of playing next episode, or it starts playing a show thats not even on my watch list. Its worse when watching anime or foreign programs like Korean dramas. Im seriously considering canceling Hulu altogether. It doesnt matter if Im watching on my Fire TV Stick, iPad, or iPhone. I also have a Netflix subscription as well as Amazon Prime, Drama Fever and Anime Strike. I love Hulus choices and shows like The Handmaids Tale, but the aggravation is almost not worth the $12 to watch without the ads. Please fix this and get rid of this new interface Hulu! It is one of the worst Ive ever seen in 20 years of IT and gaming experience.

Pretty good stuff on here and was going to look into combining an hbo account on here, it wont let me in iTunes/App Store. Then I try to do it on the Hulu website but it says my subscription is paid for through the App Store and can only change the plan there. Why is it so hard???

What a Joke

Ive just signed up with a free trial and have already had to reset my password because your system didnt accept it. Got that issue sorted and now Im adding shows/films to my list on the app on my phone but it is not syncing with the app on my TV. The interface is not user friendly and I attempted to submit a request for assistance as well as some feedback but guess what, it could t process due to an error. Doesnt inspire much confidence I must say. Back to Netflix I go. That lasted less than 15 minutes!

App site is screwed. Greys out December, the month of my birth to register and defaults back to todays date. Clean it up fools !

IOS app is fine, Apple TV app is garbage

WHY did they bother with "the new Hulu experience" on Apple TV? The IOS app and the web-based access work great. But when something works, weve got to change that, right? Well the Apple TV app did that, and is garbage. Its cluttered with browsing options I will never, ever use and biggest problem of all is the IOS watchlist does not sync with the "My Stuff" malarkey on the Apple TV. Since I use both my iPad and Apple TV to watch, you can imagine the frustration of constantly having to manually make the two in line with each other.

Downgrade

The new interface is not friendly, the old one had much better controls and definitely better navigation, you guys really downgraded. I used to watch Hulu all the time, but now i really prefer Netflix. Ditch the new interface Hulu, it might look better but it is definitely not effective

Does Not Work With Chromecast

Not sure what is going on as of late, but I have been unsuccessful streaming Hulu via Chromecast from any device that supports Hulu. Starz, HBO, YouTube, Amazon, no issue. But Hulu, it just sits there with a loading screen. Used my network, a friends network, and a company Network, from an iPhone, laptop, and an Android supported device, but no such luck, Rarely, it will eventually play after waiting 20 minutes. Reset/restarted all devices (including routers and hubs) but same results continue to occur. Not sure if the blame is to Brighthouse (possible throttling) or Hulu, but Im not getting what Im paying for and Im about to cancel my service if this does not get resolved soon.

WASTE OF MONEY

Its a waste of money, dont bother. Subscription cancelled. Nothing good to watch and too many errors and crashing.
