Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies App Reviews

Every time I try to open the app on my phone, it says "something is wrong: try again." Extremely frustrating. Ive tried reinstalling and updating it, and its the same problem. It wont work.

Its annoying how you have to scroll to find a good show instead of having it grid-like. Im spending more time scrolling rather than watching. Also, I dont see an option to go to a different season. When I click on episode, then it shows the season & how many episodes, when I click on it, it just goes back to showing all of the episodes in that season.

Its a great app but Where is steven universe season 4??? The season just ended so It should come out on hulu soon right?

The new interface is pretty, sure. Other than that its garbage.

Every time this ad comes on hulu freezes. I have to keep restarting the Show then guess what? 4 more adds, and if one is the Tresemme ad, restart again. Your IT department needs to fix it or remove the ad. Very annoying.

If I could give it no stars I would. The new update destroyed any usable experience you had with Hulu. You cannot find your shows and if force feeds you their suggested content. Apple needs to look at these reviews and fix it. I just signed up for Netflix. Hulu is on its way out with apple. It Works awesome on my amazon stick though :)

Its as if the Hulu staff was a kindergarten class left alone with finger paints. This update is the definition of overdone. Its so bad that we have our older Apple TV plugged in, in addition to our new one, so that we can switch to Hulu when we want. Please switch back.

I cant watch ANYTHING on Hulu. Always a "try again soon." Ill also be watching one show, but at the end of the episode when I push the next episode button, it turns on a different show.

Hulu design team: Guys.... what are we doing here? This UI is textbook form over function. Consider the content you have to work with and the end-user experience as your #1 priority when you inevitably re-design this interface. I get that the bright colors and full screen images are very nice to look at, but that doesnt help us navigate the app whatsoever. In fact, the treatments distract the audience. If the treatment isnt adding to the experience then its simply decoration. Now, are you decorators or designers? Dont overthink the design next time - simplicity is key.

Since updating the interface, the rest of my family does not use Hulu anymore, and I only use it by accessing shows through voice command. Hulu, make the content easy to access. I dont care if the interface is pretty if it takes longer to access the content. This is a step in the wrong direction for a media app. But, if the goal was to push my family to do something else-- it was a complete success.

It used to be pretty good on the apple tv. Now its basically unusable.

App loads slowly, if at all. Just horrible. Hulu people, get it together and please make improvements to the app ASAP!

Sometimes it wont let me watch one specific show and it wouldnt be my wifi it would just go back to home screen on the app and I would click a different show and it would work. I had to close and reset my app multiple times to get it to work. It actually took a few days before I could watch that show again.

If your intention was to create frustration and the wilderness, Mission accomplished! I cannot express how terrible the latest version of your app is. So bad that Im actually considering canceling my subscription because basically your new app is worthless if it wont actually play content.

Hulu is a scam. They charge you for their service and still serve you commercials. Then you upgrade to the "no commercials" plan and pay more, and say that some shows still have commercials in the beginning.

I hate this app! Im so close to canceling my subscription because of the terrible UI/UX of Hulus Apple TV app. Id rather pay for shows via other apps just so I dont have to use this one. If I could give this 0 stars, I would!

I subscribed to Hulu because of The Hand Maids Tale. I was delighted to find other Hulu originals I really liked ( Hotwives, Casual, Difficult People). However, the app interrupts the enjoyment of the shows by crashing, and connection issues, which I dont experience with Amazon, Netflix or Xfinity! Ive unsubscribe because of these issues. I like your programming Hulu, but your app, not so much.

Make sure you want this app/ service! Your credit card will CONTINUALLY be charged for the monthly fee! So aggravating ?

I know everyone hates when things we regularly use are changed, but this update on Apple TV is literally the worst redesign I have ever seen. Weve already canceled our service. It isnt functional. When Amazons abysmal streaming interface is better, you know youve got issues. I cant imagine what the management team at Hulu was thinking.
