Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies App Reviews

Im paying for this stupid service there should not be 10 min worth of ads in one episode. This is ridiculous for the amount that were paying for an account. Netflix is cheaper and has NO ads. yall could learn a thing or two from them.

I have been a Hulu advocate since their early days. Easy to use and worked seamlessly. The newest release reminds me of a start-up who failed because they put so much effort into making their software pretty that the functionality took a far back seat in priorities and users gave up on it out of frustration. This latest version has so many bugs across all devices that I find myself just giving up on it several times a week. If any competitor gets the rights for their content, Hulu is going to find a mass exodus of their users if they dont get their act together.

New update makes everything harder to navigate. Please give an option to go back to the old interface.

The app no longer works on my iphone 7. I have downloaded the most recent update. I have deleted and re-downloaded, the app still wont work.

I have it a chance, but I cant find things I want to watch and everything takes way too many swipes/clicks to get to. Not user friendly at all, form should always follow function instead of being the only thing you have. At least have an option to go back to the old interface. I canceled my $11.99/month subscription and deleted the app. Vote with your wallets people!

I never write app reviews but the Apple TV update for Hulu is THE WORST. I had to click out of the show I was watching then search for it again to get to the landing page for that show to watch a clip. What a nightmare. If you tubes service is half as good when they launch with TV service, with a better app, Im dropping Hulu and Ive been a subscriber since 2010. ***edit*** Im still finding myself so frustrated at trying to watch a single show. Please for the love of god change it back. If this isnt changed Soon Im canceling I cannot believe Im paying to put up with this.

I think the app is amazing because it gets episodes more frequently than Netflix but i wish episodes didnt expire because Ill start watching a new show and they wont have say the first season. But besides that its a great app.

With there sponsoring support of Don Lemon and CNN-Clinton News Network I can no longer stand for there values and will delete this app immediately.

Not only is the new Hulu interface less attractive, less streamlined, and more difficult to navigate (often taking several tries to hit the right buttons, especially on the Apple TV version), Hulu has barely worked since it updated; constantly being the only app on both my phone and tv that either crashes or "cant connect to the internet" while Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and all other apps work perfectly. Its very disappointing because I thought the app was great before and seemed to work fine. I hope they try another pass and scrap the current layout (or go back to the old one).

this app is really great, they keep up with new shows really well, and have a good variety of different shows.

The app keeps crashing or giving me an error message.

I have Netflix and Hulu as well as Amazon, Apple TV and Vudu. With Vudu i Have to repeat my sign in frequently. With Hulu i signed in at beginning, set up pw and now it just asks "whos watching" and then goes to that persons interests. Vudu AGAIN today reqd me to sign in AGAIN with email and password. I didnt remember the pw so now i have to come up with ANOTHER pw for yet ANOTHER app. Also i can not access the movies I BOUGHT unless I have internet connection. I downloaded the movies (i thiought). They should be on my iPad avail anytime to me.

I am SO happy that Hulu provides Survivor, which is my favorite show. I have not tried to watch it on my TV only because its easier to use my phone in my bed. But, its been lagging and it makes me not want to watch Survivor - which doesnt happen. The quality started to get extremely fizzy, it pauses automatically, and overall, Im not proud of this app. Sorry.

Itd be nice to be able to watch a full episode of something without the app quitting or disconnecting me and then logging me out, and they make me watch the stupid commercials every 5 minutes. Trash.

The app will let you switch profiles but I never have anything on my watchlist and the play button wont even work on my phone. The roku Hulu app also doesnt allow for multiple profiles, so I am stuck with the pc version.

This is for the Apple TV version. Hulu had a few issues before they redesigned the app, but overall the system worked well enough and wasnt too hard to use. The new version is awful. It can be frustrating to find shows you watch all the time. There is far less information on the menu screen now, replaced by a nebulous background. Just go back to the old system.

Hulu used to be my favorite video streaming service besides netflix, but now it just deleted my watchlist! Please update the app and fix this problem.

Someone decided to let a designer try to win an Apple Design Award and didnt care how much damage it would do to the apps usability. The colors are bad, the UI is garish and "edgy" for the sake of being edgy ("hey, everyone underlines active and focused links so we will OVERLINE them!"). They push shows they want you to watch instead of the shows you want to watch, hiding the shows Ive added to my watchlist (oh, I mean "my stuff"), and tipping their hand at the first step of onboarding: they immediately ask if you want to move your watchlist to the new app. The fact that they dont do this automatically and the fact that they make you choose to do it are indicators that your watchlist isnt nearly as important to you as this "your lineup" nonsense they out in your face now The autoplay setting was the first thing I changed in the old app. I never want autoplay on but I no longer have that option. So after watching the final episode of a show, some random shoe Ive never heard of autoplayed and was all over the app every time I launched it for a few weeks. Once again, the shows they randomly choose are more important to them than the shows I want to watch. The streaming issues with previous apps made Hulu the worst of the streaming apps I use but the new version has gotten even worse. Now I get "are you still there?" messages the second I start playing a video and often get "error loading the next video" errors near the end of an episode. Those cause the episode to be closed and marked complete before being finished so I have to find the episode, play it again, and skip to the end to see the last few minutes. This probably wouldnt happen if they still let me turn off autoplay.

The screenshots dont even match the actual app. This updated design language is gaudy and way too colorful. This is a streaming service not a dating app... Get rid of this new update and fire your designers!

I hate this updated bs so much it dont work half the time always has some playback issue just problem after problem . Shows dont automatically play no more like wtfff
