Trying to run Hulu is like trying to thread a sewing needle with a climbing rope. You are just going to get v-e-r-y f-r-u-s-t-r-a-t-e-d because it loads -- when it loads -- s-o s-l-o-w-l-y.
While of course the commercials load fantastically, the shows are unwatchable due to unceasing buffering. Even when connected over tested internet connection, my shows eventually devolve into endless buffering while the commercials show up crystal clear without pause. Netflix does not have this problem. Currently cancelling my Hulu account until they can provide adequate mobile streaming - gonna go enjoy Netflix.
Keeps giving me error message "SOMETHING WENT WRONG", and theyre right. I was wrong to sign up for a crappy subscription that charges me to watch commercials, when it decides to actually watch on the app. Dont bother, everything about Hulu is trash.
Love the app overall but new episode notifications via email or through push notifications would be great.
I just signed up for Hulu. For some reason the iPhone app will only let me watch movies not tv shows. Great start Hulu. Also wont let me Chromecast TV shows. Happy to say Im getting my $14 a month back. Its not that hard Hulu just steal some engineers from Netflix at least they have their heads out of their asses.
Just as bad as the Apple TV app! Very unstable. I have good wifi and I get playback failure after every episode whenever it tried to load a new one.
Im new to the app so I dont know if they have something like this but I highly recommended doing this. Netflix has it as well but Hulu has more options rather than Netflix. It would bring more customers and I would love it.
I shouldnt be forced to watch commercials when Im paying for the service. This is why Netflix is better than Hulu
First the CW. Then Univision series. Whats next? ABC? FOX? Is it really worth paying the money for no commercials if Im limited to what Im watching???
Whenever I want to watch something it just provides "clips", but when I watch it on my Wii the episodes are available. Please fix.
Netflix is 100% more user friendly. Netflix allows more devices to access an account with less hassle.
My app quit completely. I deleted then reinstalled. No such luck.
This app has the slowest and often non-existent reaction time, no memory for preferred account settings, and constantly gives error messages for multiple devices connected although only the singular, in-use mobile device was connected. Trying to access account settings through the app is a ridiculous cycle of redirections to Hulus online page that still doesnt offer all options to alter settings. I requested help through the app when I was unable to access content I paid for through the subscription and was emailed back confirming the cancellation of paid subscription! This was not at all the solution I was looking for but after this experience it seems like the right one anyways. Back to Netflix!
Everytime I fast forward or rewind the app loses connection to the internet, whether or not its playing through AppleTV or on my iPhone. To be completely honest I have never really liked Hulu. I just purchase it for a month while I watch whatever specific show is only on Hulu then end my subscription. Other streaming companies seem more invested in their clientele where Hulu have never really been a push the envelope kind of company for me. Did I mention the app is crapp
Logs in and then tells me I have an unknown internet connection problem when I try to do a search or access content. All other internet connectivity on the device (iPad Pro) works fine - including submitting this review. Subsequently found out that this error is a result of being outside of the USA. Amazon Prime at least tells you that you cant access content while traveling abroad. Hulu just gives you an error message, tells you to try again later and contact support if the problem re-occurs. A good VPN fixes everything ?
Cant log in just loops me back around to the sign in page every time. Ive already created and paid for an account
The latest version only works with the iTunes account the app was originally purchased with, was this an intentional change? Very inconvenient with shared device households.
This could be such an awesome app if it wasnt constantly crashing on my apple tv. I have to continually restart because I keep getting error messages. Why would I pay more for this than Netflix to get commercial free AND have to deal with all the problems??? Fix the bugs, PLEASE!!!!!
Its stops sometimes
