Apple TV app, what the heck?

Short and sweet, the new UI for the Apple TV app is total utter crap. Useless really. Who approved this design? The workflow is embarrassing. Was there any real internal testing of this interface? My usage has dropped considerably now and maybe that is the goal. I dont know what else drove this UI update. It makes you want to stop using the app.
