The tvOS redesign is horrible; ruins my "Up Next" queue
The UI is hard to read because of light text with ultra-thin font weight over a light background color.
The UI is super-hard to navigate or figure out where you are or what you need to do to get to a show you want to see. To get back to the main menu from an episode detail you need to click the menu button about 7 times... That is a clear indicator of poor IA/UX.
There is also a ton of redudnancy in the sections and I cant really understand why except for that I feel like maybe some shows paid for better placement?
And my queue which became watchlist is now "my stuff"... and has lost any state, which was by far the biggest feature that mattered to me. I want to know this AND ONLY this: Is there an episode of a show I watch that I havent seen yet?.. Anything else, especially adding shows an algorithm determines I may like to my stuff is only going to make the experience worse for me. And now there arent even "unwatched" badges.
It looks like the designers for this app saw the HBO Go app and asked themselves: "How can I make something even less user-friendly?"
On top of that, they added auto-play after I watch a show, which picks random other shows and not only plays them, but sees that they were played and adds them to my list. Now Im left with random shows I dislike in my queue in front of shows I actually care about. And I cant find a way to disable auto-play.
This auto-play seems to sync data with the TV apps Up Next queue, adding tons of shows Ive never watched and dont care about, making that feature useless as well. This app ruins 2 queues for me!!!
